How much table decoration do you need per table?
Candlesticks, vases, lanterns, table numbers: a guide to how much decoration makes sense per guest table – depending on table shape and style.
As a rule of thumb: fewer individual pieces, but varying heights
A table setting looks more harmonious when the decoration is layered at different heights rather than made up of many same-sized individual pieces. For a round table seating 8–10 people, the following has proven effective in practice: an eye-catching centrepiece (such as a candlestick or a large vase), complemented by 2–3 smaller accent vases or lanterns arranged loosely around it. For long tables, this pattern is repeated every 1.5 to 2 metres, rather than lining up an unbroken row of identical elements.
Combining candlesticks, vases and lanterns
A single large candlestick per table often looks more elegant than several small ones. A candlestick or a larger vase as a centrepiece combines well with 2 matching accent vases and 1–2 lanterns for extra warm light in the evening. If you want a completely coordinated table setting, plan in table numbers and charger plates right from the start – both can be matched stylistically to the rest of the decor.
Better to ask for a bit too much than too little
Since our rental process runs without a shopping cart, it's easy to plan a bit more generously in your enquiry and adjust the quantity together afterwards – this way you get a personal quote that matches your exact number of tables and your style.
